1. Introduction

CalcEmbed (“we”, “our”, “us”) operates calcembed.app. This policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information.

2. Information We Collect

• Account information: name and email address when you sign up.
• Calculator data: the calculators you create and their configurations.
• Lead data: information collected through embedded calculators on behalf of our customers (names, emails, form responses).
• Usage data: analytics on calculator views and interactions. We do not store IP addresses.
• Payment information: processed securely by Stripe. We never store your credit card details.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide and maintain the CalcEmbed service.
• Process payments via Stripe.
• Send transactional emails (welcome, trial notifications, lead alerts).
• Improve our product based on aggregate usage patterns.

We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We do not send marketing emails unless you explicitly opt in.

4. Data Processing (GDPR)

• Customer accounts: we act as the data controller for the personal data you provide when creating and managing your CalcEmbed account.
• Lead data: for information collected through embedded calculators, we act as a data processor on behalf of our customers (the data controllers).
• Infrastructure: data is stored on Supabase (hosted on AWS in the US) and served via Vercel.

5. Data Retention

• Account data: retained while your account is active and for 30 days after deletion to allow recovery.
• Calculator response data: retained for 90 days, then aggregated into anonymous analytics and purged.
• Lead data: retained until the customer deletes it or their account is terminated.

6. Your Rights

You have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data at any time. To exercise these rights, email us at hello@calcembed.app and we will respond within 30 days.

7. Cookies

Our embedded calculators do not set cookies on your visitors' browsers. The CalcEmbed dashboard uses essential session cookies only (required for authentication). We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.

8. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services to operate CalcEmbed:

• Stripe - payment processing
• Supabase - database and authentication
• Vercel - hosting and edge delivery
• Resend - transactional email delivery

Each of these services maintains their own privacy policies and data processing agreements. We only share the minimum data necessary for each service to function.
